Shubra El Kheima (شبرا الخيمة) is the northern terminus of Line 2, marking the edge of Greater Cairo in one of the region’s biggest industrial and textile manufacturing hubs. It’s a working-class, densely populated district, and the station is one of the busiest on the line thanks to the sheer number of people commuting in and out for factory and market work.

It also connects to the Egyptian railway network, adding to its role as a transit hub.

تُعد محطة شبرا الخيمة المحطة الطرفية الشمالية للخط الثاني، وتقع عند حدود القاهرة الكبرى في واحدة من أكبر مناطق الصناعة والنسيج في المنطقة. وهو حي شعبي كثيف السكان، وتُعد المحطة من أكثر محطات الخط ازدحامًا نظرًا للأعداد الكبيرة من الركاب المتنقلين يوميًا للعمل في المصانع والأسواق.

كما ترتبط المحطة بشبكة السكك الحديدية المصرية، ما يعزز دورها كمركز رئيسي للنقل.
