El Bohooth (البحوث), literally “the research,” takes its name from the National Research Centre next door, Egypt’s largest scientific research institution. The Line 2 station sits in Dokki, in a stretch dominated by government and academic institutions rather than shops or restaurants.

Most riders here are researchers, civil servants, and students rather than casual visitors, which gives it a distinctly institutional feel.

يعني اسم محطة البحوث حرفيًا “الأبحاث”، وهو مستمد من المركز القومي للبحوث المجاور، أكبر مؤسسة بحثية علمية في مصر. تقع المحطة على الخط الثاني في الدقي، في منطقة تغلب عليها المؤسسات الحكومية والأكاديمية أكثر من المحلات والمطاعم.

معظم رواد هذه المحطة من الباحثين والموظفين الحكوميين والطلاب وليس الزوار العابرين، ما يمنحها طابعًا مؤسسيًا مميزًا.
